Been making some behind the scenes code changes to Great Little Places. Primarily making a sitemap and also some code to track when spiders visit the site, if the do seeing as we seem to have lost all pages bar the front page. Come on google!!!
They’ve not even got the UK or Canada home pages in there yet.

There’s tools around such as ArticleBot, which in the wrong hands are very bad. But if used on your own content at worst would polute the search engines a little, I guess. Anyways, I stumbled on a free tool called Content Rewrite. So I thought I’d have a play. Copyright issues aside, I’ll start with a poem that I’m sure my brother used to say when we were little.
The cat sat on the mat,
the dog sat on the cat,
the cat said get off
but the dog just blew off
…and that was the end of that!
With the default options, the tool turns this into:
The cat sat on the mat,
the dog sat on the cat,
the cat said have away
but the dog just blew away. and that was the conclusion of that
It’s changed it that’s for sure. Now I’ll try with more options. Well, the only other option “More changes (lower quality)”
